Living in Australia comes with the reality of living in a country (albeit gorgeous and abundant) suffers from parcel and postal system problems. We hope to goodness you have not experienced any horror stories about a courier service in Sydney or other parts of Australia, but we highly doubt that.

Adding to the frustration are tight regulations on imported items which make them unavailable for delivery; and so, we don’t get to enjoy having stuff sent to us in a jiffy. An effective door-to-door, or same-day or next-day delivery options would have been great, especially in this fast-paced lifestyle.

As we pray to the heavens for the situation to get better, we also wish certain things can be delivered on our doorstep in the future. You sounded off on Facebook as to what those are, and here are some of the best answers.

1. Fresh coffee every morning

After a long night of drinking, some of us have probably woken up hungover and wanted coffee to jumpstart the day. Unfortunately, the hangover has messed up our eye-hand coordination that making a hot cup would probably mean second-degree burns.

We can always buy, but who has the strength to go outside when we can’t even see straight yet?

2. Milk

That fresh cup of coffee is a lot better with milk, but it just ran out because the kids have poured everything into their cereal bowl. Where’s the milkman when we need one?

3. Bread

No coffee or milk, and no bread either. What’s a person to do to have a complete breakfast? Not call for a delivery, that’s for sure.

4. Baby items and nappies

We can never be overly prepared when it comes to babies. If the diaper ran out in the middle of the week, don’t’ be surprised—babies sure poop a lot in a day.

5. Pet food

The dog has been barking since early this morning, and the cat is now extra grumpy, all because you missed out on buying the kibble.

6. Toilet paper

The look of horror when we realise that there’s no more toilet paper at the end of our morning dump is always priceless. The irony is that we have our phones on hand all along while on the toilet, but no store will send the paper.

7. Furniture

They’re big, bulky, and heavy. It only makes sense to have home furnishings delivered. Our furniture can end up in a different home with an unreliable courier service in Sydney.

8. White goods

Like furniture, appliances are not easy to deliver. Sadly, some of us must pick them up from the store and bring them home ourselves, especially if we need them right away.

9. Ready-made meals

We like to believe that the concept of delivery is created for us to have easy access to food. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of good choices when it comes to ready-made meals for delivery.

10. Chocolate

A sugar fix after a meal is sure to put us in a good mood, but only if we already have one on hand because no one will deliver it to us.

11. Fresh vegetables

Using fresh ingredients for our everyday meals can be great, but this can only work if the courier service chosen works fast!

Seeing how bad things still are, let’s stick with going to the market.

12. Groceries

Speaking of markets, if you’ve ever found yourself listing down the things you have to buy but still missed out some stuff or running out of necessities before your shopping day, a delivery service for grocery items will come in handy.

13. Petrol

Petrol delivery can be a real lifesaver in certain situations such as being in the middle of nowhere. It’s common sense to fill up the car before a trip, but driving in circles when trying to find the right path empties it fast.

14. Alcohol

The frustration over courier difficulties is making us want to grab a cold bottle. Too bad we still had to go to the store to get it.

15. Sweets and flowers

Going on a date but not having anything to give is a deal breaker. If only instant shipping of sweets and roses is possible, there will no longer be melted desserts and lifeless flowers, and less heartbroken people.

To make this short, though, we merely wish that everything could be sent to us as quickly as possible, instead of going out to shop. Not that we’re lazy, but who would hate to have that kind of convenience on the daily?
