If you’re familiar with our services, you’ll already know Go People aims to provide the fastest and most cost-effective deliveries for every retailer. We know what gives businesses the competitive edge in an industry driven by convenience-seeking online shoppers. So, we’ve been working hard to bring our customers some new and improved functions which give users even more control over their deliveries.

But what does “more control” look like when we’re already offering revolutionary on demand delivery solutions? This is about better and more hands-on logistics management from beginning to end, which all helps to get those products out as quickly as possible. (After all, there are some things we can’t take care of ourselves, but we’ll certainly help our customers do things better where we can!)

What’s the point in grouping jobs? We’ll tell you…

Soon, Go People users won’t just be able to book bulk deliveries at a time, or during a shift they see fit; they’ll be able to group those deliveries and assign each group with their own delivery runner. Sounds simple enough, but grouping jobs brings so many benefits. Here’s a few to get you inspired.

Have you ever wondered how much quicker your products would reach customers if your deliveries were grouped by geographical location? Perhaps you only have a few deliveries at opposite ends of the city, or a lot of deliveries destined for every corner of the map – either way, Estimated Working Times could be reduced if deliveries were grouped by location and assigned with their own designated runner or driver.

Got your own drivers? Feel free to use our systems

Which brings us to the next great benefit. We know it makes economic sense for some businesses to employ their own drivers, especially if they require specific training, but they’re often challenged by a lack of transparency over deliveries and their limited means to manage them.

Soon, businesses with their own drivers will be able to take full benefit of Go People’s advanced logistics management systems and transparency by integrating their own drivers into the Go People system. This includes estimated working times, smart routing, and GPS tracking technology.

So, let’s get back on track. What about grouping jobs by product? Large bulky products suited to bigger vehicles might be more efficiently delivered if not mixed up with smaller products. Or even, groupings by recipient type – could deliveries to residential premises be faster if the same delivery driver or runner wasn’t negotiating awkward access to commercial premises along the way?

However you decide to cut it, we’re confident allowing users to group jobs will be yet another game-changer in the realm of logistics management.
