1. Introduction

Welcome to the GoPeople Public Liability Insurance Program. By joining this program, you agree to the following terms and conditions. This insurance is provided in partnership with Canopius, with HMD Insurance as the broker, to offer protection during your deliveries.

2. Coverage Details

  1. Scope: This insurance covers legal expenses and compensation claims if you are found negligent, resulting in injury to a person or damage to property during your deliveries.
  2. Flexible Payment:You pay only for the coverage you use, ensuring cost-effective protection without monthly fees. The charge is $0.30 per hour with a minimum of 1 hour.
  3. Coverage Limit:The maximum coverage amount is $20 million for any single occurrence.

3. Eligibility

  1. You must be a registered Runner with GoPeople.
  2. You must have had no Public Liability claims in the last 5 years.
  3. You must have never been bankrupt, had any criminal convictions, or had insurance canceled or declined.

4. Obligations of the Runner

  1. Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all deliveries and any incidents that occur.
  2. Prompt Reporting: Report any incidents promptly to GoPeople, Canopius, and HMD Insurance to facilitate efficient claims processing.
  3. Compliance: Adhere to all guidelines and policies set by GoPeople, Canopius, and HMD Insurance.

5. Incident Reporting and Claims

  1. Immediate Notification: Notify GoPeople, Canopius, and HMD Insurance of any incidents as soon as possible.
  2. Documentation: Provide all necessary documentation and cooperate fully with any investigations related to claims.
  3. Claim Processing: Canopius will handle the processing of claims, facilitated by HMD Insurance. GoPeople will assist with communication and provide support as needed.

6. Exclusions

This insurance does not cover:

  1. Intentional damage or injury caused by the Runner.
  2. Incidents occurring outside of active delivery periods.
  3. Claims arising from the Runner’s violation of any laws or regulations.

7. Termination

  1. Voluntary Termination: You may opt-out of the insurance program at any time by notifying GoPeople in writing.
  2. Involuntary Termination: GoPeople reserves the right to terminate your participation in the program if you fail to comply with these terms and conditions or engage in fraudulent activities.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

  1. Data Use: By joining this program, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data by GoPeople, Canopius, and HMD Insurance for the purposes of administering the insurance program.
  2. Confidentiality: All personal information will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy and relevant data protection laws.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
